Salmon Sushi
Fresh salmon sushi with properly seasoned sushi rice. Use only sashimi-grade salmon for safety.

Ingredients
2 cups sushi rice
3 cups water
1/3 cup rice vinegar
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
8 oz sashimi-grade salmon
Nori sheets
Wasabi paste
Pickled ginger
Soy sauce
Directions
Rice Preparation
- Rinse sushi rice until water runs clear.
- Cook rice with water in rice cooker or pot (1:1.5 ratio).
- Heat vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Cool.
- Mix vinegar mixture into cooked rice. Cool to room temperature.
Salmon Preparation
- Slice salmon against the grain into 1/4 inch thick pieces.
- For nigiri: form rice into oval shapes, top with salmon.
- For maki: place rice on nori, add salmon, roll tightly.
- Serve immediately with wasabi, ginger, and soy sauce.
